The teaching staff
The Forum Sévelin is composed of a set of practitioners, doctors and
teachers, teaching in various European universities, invited to actively take part in
various training sessions of the Forum.
Professor Sami Sandhaus

Professor Sami Sandhaus, awarded in 1959 with the diploma of medicine and dentistry,
by the University of Düsseldorf, followed a specialization in dentistry and
maxilla-facial surgery at the Paris Ⅵ University, under the guidance of Professor
Deschaume.
He has dedicated his life to research and especially to innovation in the field of oral
implantology.
His works are based on the execution of implants which do not release oxides in
the osseous tissues, as metallic implants do.
His first ceramic implant came to light in 1960: It was the CBS
implant ( C rystalline B one S crew) made of aluminium oxide.
Author of various publications in different languages:
- New Aspects of Implantology – The CBS Implant (French, 1963)
- Neue Aspekte der Implantologie (Medica Verlag – 1975)
- Oral Rehabilitation – Premises for Success – Operational Technique Step by Step
(Italian, 1974)
- Orale Rehabilitation – Voraussetzungen für einen Erfolg – Technik Schritt für
Schritt (Allemand 1977)
- Occlusion – The NOR System (French, 1990)
At present, he's working on the Prosthetic and Casuistic Atlas .
A career based on teaching, research and on the achievement of high-quality
techniques and instrumentation (more than 75 original inventions), this is the
scientific evolution of Professor Sandhaus.
He dedicated 13 years of his life to teaching at the Fortbildung Institute of Karlsruhe
in Germany, and from 1985 he has been a professor at the Pierre and Marie Curie
University, Paris Ⅵ, the Dentistry and Maxilla-Facial Institute.
A new material, the TZP Zirconium , five times more resistant than the preceding
materials, has recently been perfected.
Let's not forget the many conferences given throughout the world, from Japan to the
United States, passing through all the European countries, accompanied every time by
practical and surgical demonstrations of bioceramic implants.
